CO2 CoolPeel provides skin resurfacing with minimal downtime when compared to other CO2 Lasers. With short pulse durations, excessive heating of the skin does not occur meaning side effects such as redness, swelling, pain and post treatment discomfort are significantly reduced.
This treatment targets the superficial layers of the skin whilst still being powerful enough to improve lines and wrinkles and firm the skin. The fractionated laser technology triggers your body’s own healing response which stimulates new collagen and elastin. This healing process works to reduce lines and wrinkles, scarring and textural irregularities.
CoolPeel is customisable to your skin type and goals, with downtime being as little as 1-2 days. Topical anaesthetic is applied prior to treatment to reduce any discomfort, though many clients find they do not need it.
CO2 Laser Dot Therapy
Dot Therapy is a powerful rejuvenation treatment that treats signs of aging and sun damage, improving the appearance of scars, and addressing textural changes and irregularities.
As a fractionated laser, the Deka Dot Therapy treatment creates microscopic holes (DOTS) in the skin generating a measured injury by way of vaporising columns of the outer and middle layers of the dermis. This measured injury to the skin promotes an immediate healing response, collagen and elastin synthesis and the stimulation of fibroblasts in the skin.
A consultation is required to determine goals and discuss downtime as this treatment can be customised to suit each patient. Dot Therapy is also ideal to treat acne scarring including rolling and ice-pick scars, as well as injury related or surgical scars.

You will start to see results after several weeks as the skin repairs gradually. Results will show optimally at around the three month mark as your collagen remodelling increases over time. After your initial course of treatments, we would recommend yearly maintenance of 1-2 sessions to maintain your results.

The actual treatment takes around 45 minutes, with an additional 30-45 minutes needed for the application of topical numbing cream. A consultation should be done prior to commencing treatment.

CoolPeel: Downtime for CoolPeel treatments is approximately 1-2 days. Patients experience mild-moderate redness, mild swelling, mild textural changes and some skin sensitivity after CoolPeel that will usually subside around 24 hours following your session, sometimes lasting up to a day or two. You can wear makeup the following day, with mineral makeup being the preferred option. It is important to use gentle and hydrating skincare products post-treatment, as well as Broad Spectrum SPF daily.
Dot Therapy: As a more intensive treatment, Dot Therapy will have longer downtimes. This is discussed with your practitioner in your consultation as downtime can rage from 5 days to up to a few weeks depending on the level of treatment and outcomes desired. Redness, swelling, textural changes, peeling & pigmentary changes are expected.

Depending on your skin and desired results your practitioner at Studio Aesthetica will tailor a treatment plan to you. The collagen synthesis process will increase over time and with more sessions.

You can absolutely still maintain your injectables in conjunction with CO2 Laser. We recommend waiting at least 2 weeks before and after for Antiwrinkle, and 4 weeks before or after for Dermal Filler.

Topical anaesthetic is applied to the skin 30-45 minutes before your treatment. The numbing applied will increase your comfort levels: we find our patients describe treatment as comfortable to virtually pain-free. During your treatment you will experience some light pressure to the treatment area and feel some heat.

It is recommended to do the following prior to having an RF Microneedling treatment:
Avoid sun exposure for 4 weeks prior
Do not have any chemical peels or exfoliating treatments for 4 weeks prior
Do not use any topical AHA, BHA or Retinol products for at least 2 week prior
Do not use any topical prescription strength Retinol products for 2 weeks prior
Avoid alcohol and smoking the day of your treatment
Avoid hair removal in the treatment area such as waxing or depilatories for 2 weeks prior
