How To Treat Volume Loss & Skin Laxity?
One of the key indicators of aging skin is a reduction in elasticity and firmness, often perceived as "sagging skin.". As we age, the skin undergoes changes, including a decrease in collagen and elastin. Elastin allows the skin to stretch and return to its original position, and its loss results in looser skin that cannot maintain its structure. Similarly, the decline in healthy collagen and its production leads to weaker, thinner skin that appears less firm. The loss of supportive structures beneath the skin, such as the atrophy of fat pads, bone resorption, and cartilage loss, reduces the skin's support, leading to volume loss and a sagging appearance.
