How To Treat Volume Loss And Skin Laxity
One of the key indicators of ageing skin is a reduction in elasticity and firmness, often perceived as "sagging skin". As we age, the skin undergoes changes, including a decrease in collagen and elastin. Elastin allows the skin to stretch and return to its original position, and its loss results in looser skin that cannot maintain its structure. Similarly, the decline in healthy collagen and its production leads to weaker, thinner skin that appears less firm. The loss of supportive structures beneath the skin, such as the atrophy of fat pads, bone resorption and cartilage loss, reduces the skin's support, leading to volume loss and a sagging appearance.

At Studio Aesthetica, we offer a range of treatments that can help address volume and lift mature skin.
Our CO2 laser treatments help promote skin firming and tightening. They come in two types: CoolPeel and Dot Therapy. CoolPeel aims to reduce the appearance of fine lines and improve skin texture and tone. On the other hand, Dot Therapy targets deep wrinkles, acne, surgical scars and sun or age-related pigmentation.
Radio Frequency (RF) Microneedling
Our RF Microneedling treatment works in two powerful steps to help achieve firmer, smoother skin. First, it creates tiny microchannels at different depths, triggering natural collagen and elastin production. Then, radiofrequency energy is delivered deep into the skin using the Vivace device, to tighten skin tissue and help to enhance your body’s natural healing process.
PDO Mono Threads are absorbable collagen-stimulating threads placed beneath the skin’s surface that help restore volume, lift ageing skin and improve skin texture and mild hollowing. These threads provide a subtle yet noticeable lift — usually for the mid-face, cheeks, jawline and lower face.
Collagen Stimulation Treatments
These treatments help refine skin texture and soften lines for a more refreshed and youthful appearance. They target key areas like the cheeks, marionette lines, nasolabial folds, tear trough, jawline, neck and temples.
The treatments we offer are designed to enhance your natural appearance rather than drastically alter it. While we aim to help reduce or slow the signs of ageing, it’s important to remember that ageing is a natural process that cannot be prevented entirely.

Common Side Effects Of Skin-Firming Treatments
Downtime, risks and side effects vary depending on the specific skin-firming treatment. Our doctors will explain them in detail during your initial consultation.
CO2 Laser Treatments — CoolPeel treatments typically cause minor redness, swelling and skin sensitivity, which subside within 24 to 48 hours. Dot Therapy has a longer recovery time, ranging from five days to a few weeks, depending on treatment intensity. You may encounter redness, swelling, peeling and pigmentary changes as the skin heals and regenerates.
RF Microneedling — Some individuals may notice mild to moderate redness, slight swelling and minimal sensitivity after RF Needling. These effects typically fade within a few hours but may persist for a day or two.
PDO Threads — You may experience facial tenderness, mild bruising, swelling or slight skin dimpling, which typically resolves within a few days.
Skin reactions may differ for everyone, so it’s important to monitor the treated area, especially during the first week. If you experience severe or prolonged symptoms after your treatment, seek medical attention immediately.
