Liposuction is a surgical procedure that involves removing localised deposits of fat from specific areas of the body to contour and enhance the body’s proportions.

Liposculpture can have a truly transformational effect on an individual’s physique. Small genetically predisposed areas of stubborn fat pockets (double chins, lower abdomen) can be extremely difficult to remove naturally. Regardless of diet and exercise, genetics can determine how the fat will remain, however this can be easily addressed with liposculpture. For those after a transformational physique, often popular pre-wedding, 360 Corset Liposuction can clinch in waistlines to accentuate beautiful hourglass curves.

Liposculpture (Liposuction)

At our clinic for liposuction in Sydney, we perform advanced body sculpting procedures called liposculpture (or liposuction) for areas that may not be responsive to diet and exercise. All liposuction consultations and appointments are held in our aesthetic clinic, with liposculpture procedures performed in accredited day hospitals for patient outcomes and safety.

Some of the most common treatment areas include:

  • Abdomen — Remove excess fat and better define your muscles.

  • Under chin and jowls — Shape a feminine facial profile.

  • Inner and outer thighs — Slim and create a shapelier body by removing excess fat deposits.

  • Neck — Redefine your neckline and remove stubborn pockets of fat.

  • Upper arms — Slim and create the look of a more toned arm contour.

  • Hips — Restore your waistline and create a more feminine silhouette.

  • Buttocks — Slim and contour your buttocks with a more womanly shape.

Benefits

FAQ’S

  • This procedure is done in hospital under a general anaesthetic or local anaesthetic depending on the area or the volume of fat being removed.

The procedure involves having small cuts in the skin, made into skin creases where possible, and then having a cannula placed into the fat layer. A light suction allows the removal of fat. When the desired body contour has been achieved the cannula is removed and the small entry points are sutured.

Liposuction is not an alternative to weight loss.

  • This is a day procedure performed at hospital under general anaesthetic.

Duration of procedure will depend on the number of areas being sculpted. In general, liposculpture for areas such as the chin will take 1 hour, larger areas around the body can take 3-4 hours.

  • You will be given some pain relief and detailed post operative care instructions after your procedure by our medical team.

In general, a post-operative compression garment will be required to be worn for approximately 6 weeks post procedure.

  • A compression garment is to be worn after this procedure for 6 weeks in order to help any swelling, bruising and to support the skin.

You will also need some time at home to rest afterwards.

The full effect will be evident until approximately 3-6 months after the procedure

  • Fat deposit removed are permanently removed. Future weight gain will generally grow in line with the new contours and proportions post liposuction.

  • Prices start from $4000

  • While the two terms are used interchangeably, the main difference between the two cosmetic treatments is that liposuction involves a larger incision and is conducted under general anaesthesia.

Liposculpture is a newer procedure that involves a much smaller incision, is also performed under general anaesthesiae. At our aesthetic clinic in Sydney, we offer both liposuction and liposculpture to meet our client’s needs.

  • As liposuction is performed under general anaesthesia, the procedure itself is not painful. After the procedure, there is a recovery period of approximately six weeks where you will wear a compression garment to support your healing from the surgical procedure — however, everyone’s pain threshold and recovery timeline will be different. You will start to see results and your new contours 6 weeks post procedure, with the full results of liposculpture or liposuction evident from 3-6 months after the procedure.

During your consultation at Studio Aesthetica with our experienced Surgeon, Dr David Ong, he will listen, measure and advise you on the complete process of proceeding with liposuction and liposculpture. He will also discuss in depth the dedicated after procedure care you will receive so you know what to expect from your cosmetic treatment procedure.

  • The majority of our patients will treat multiple areas in one session. This is a more cost efficient approach and reduces overall recovery period. Treating multiple areas also allows our Surgeon to create beautiful holistic results. With careful consideration of your aesthetic proportions, our surgeons skillfully contour the entire body to give you your desired silhouette.

  • Because both our liposuction and liposculpture in Sydney involve physically removing fat deposits from your body, the results are permanent. Your diet, lifestyle and genetic factors may impact how you continue to gain weight in certain treatment areas; however, most clients see great results from their liposuction and liposculpture procedures that last into the long term.
