Anti-wrinkle injections contain a potent purified neurotoxin, that when injected into the muscle it blocks the communication between the muscle and the nerves that connect to it. This prevents the muscle from receiving signals that trigger it to contract, therefore providing a temporary reduction in muscle movement. This results in a smoother complexion as the appearance of wrinkles are significantly reduced.
The use of anti-wrinkle treatments has been proven to prevent static lines from forming or deepening, therefore delaying the effects of ageing.

Treatment generally takes from 15 minutes depending on the number of areas being treated.

At your appointment, you will have an in-depth consultation with one of our practitioners who undertake a facial assessment and come up with a treatment plan best suited to meet your aesthetic goals.
We will take some ‘before’ photos, clean the area to be treated and apply a local anaesthetic cream to make the treatment more comfortable, where necessary.
A small cannula or needle will be used to inject small amounts of anti-wrinkle injectable underneath your skin. This can cause some mild discomfort; however, this is tolerated well be most patients.
Some swelling, bruising and tenderness may occur immediately after your treatment.

The amount of anti-wrinkle needed for every person is different. The number of units needed depends on factors such as the type of wrinkle being treated, the strength of the muscle and the aesthetic result you are after.

The effects of your treatment will be noticeable within 3-5 days, but don’t expect to see the full effects of the treatment until the two-week mark.
