During a Fat Transfer cosmetic procedure, we start with liposuction of fat deposits from an unwanted area, such as the outer thigh or abdomen, where the fat is harvested and processed. 

Areas to be addressed, ranging from breasts to areas of the face, are then treated with careful fat placement using specialised fine cannulas. Hips, previous scars and indents can also be treated with the fat transfer procedure.

Prior to your consultation appointment you will be required to obtain a Referral Letter from your GP.

FAQ’S

  • Under general anaesthesia, fat is harvested from donor areas such as the abdomen, thighs or hips under a low suction to ensure the fat cells are not damaged.

    The fat that has been collected is then processed to remove any unwanted oils, tissue fluid, resulting in pure fat cells that are ready for injecting.

    The purified fat is then injected carefully into the recipient areas to achieve the desired outcome.

  • Duration of procedure will depend on the number of areas being sculpted. In general, fat transfer for areas such as breasts can take 2 hours, larger areas around the body can take 4 hours.

  • You will be given pain relief and detailed post operative care instructions after your procedure by our medical team.

    In general, a post-operative compression garment will be required to be worn for approximately 6 weeks post procedure.

  • You will be able to go back to work within a few days to a week.

    You should expect to be fully recovered in four to six weeks. However, this is dependent on the type of procedure you have undergone.

  • The fat that is grafted and survives is permanent. Natural ageing and changes to weight based on diet and exercise will continue to occur.

  • All-inclusive price for one area is $4500. Surgery price includes Doctor’s fee, hospital fee, general anaesthetic costs, compression garments and follow up care.
