What is SKNBAR?

SKNBAR is an advanced hydro-derma facial treatment that combines hydrodermabrasion with up to six specialised energy-based technologies in a single session. Unlike a standard facial, which relies on manual technique and topical products, SKNBAR works at a deeper level — cleansing, infusing, stimulating, and restoring the skin through a suite of clinical modalities, all customised to your skin on the day.

Think of it as the clinical answer to the Korean glass skin ideal. Luminous, plump, even, refined — without the 10-step routine.

What are the six technologies?

Hydrodermabrasion with hydrogen water

The foundation of every SKNBAR treatment. Rather than using abrasive crystals like traditional microdermabrasion, SKNBAR uses a water-based system infused with antioxidant-rich hydrogen water to gently but thoroughly cleanse the skin’s surface, dissolve congestion, and clear impurities from within the pore. The hydrogen water component helps to neutralise free radicals, support clearer skin, and leave the complexion noticeably brighter.

Electroporation

One of the more clinically significant aspects of the SKNBAR system. Electroporation uses targeted electrical pulses to temporarily open the skin’s cellular membrane, allowing customised serums and actives to penetrate significantly deeper than they would through topical application alone. The result is more effective delivery of the ingredients your skin actually needs.

EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation)

A technology more commonly associated with body treatments, applied here to the face. EMS delivers low-level electrical currents to stimulate the facial muscles and improve circulation, contributing to a lifted, sculpted, and firmer appearance over a course of treatments.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound waves are used to support deeper ingredient absorption following the electroporation step, maximising the penetration of active serums and further enhancing the skin’s receptivity to treatment.

LED light therapy

A well-established modality for skin recovery and repair. Specific wavelengths target different concerns, from calming inflammation to supporting cell turnover. Combined with the other modalities, LED helps to consolidate and extend the results of the overall SKNBAR session.

Heat and cold therapy

Thermal handpieces are used to open the skin at the beginning of the session and calm it at the end. Gentle heat encourages circulation and prepares the skin for the treatment steps that follow. The cooling handpiece then soothes, tightens the pores, and leaves the skin feeling settled and refreshed.

Lymphatic drainage

A gentle massage modality that supports lymphatic circulation, reduces puffiness, and promotes the clearance of waste and excess fluid from the tissue. Particularly beneficial for patients dealing with congestion, puffiness, or inflammatory skin concerns.

The two SKNBAR experiences

The Mini Bar ($200, 30 minutes) uses three selected handpieces to target your key skin concern. It’s our entry-level option and a great starting point for new patients or for regular maintenance in between more comprehensive sessions. Ideal before an event or as a lunchtime refresh.

SKN BAR ($300, 60 minutes) is our premium full protocol — all six handpieces, fully sequenced and customised to your skin. Maximum hydration, rejuvenation, lifting, and sculpting in a single session. The ultimate skin reset.

Both tiers are available as a package: 3 x SKN BAR treatments for $720 ($240 each), or 3 x Mini Bar treatments for $480 ($160 each).

What to expect

Every SKNBAR session begins with a skin consultation. We’ll assess your skin on the day, discuss your concerns and goals, and use the device’s Treatment Advisor to pre-set a customised programme before we begin.

The treatment is comfortable throughout. The hydrodermabrasion step feels like a gentle suction, the EMS and electroporation steps produce a mild tingling, and the thermal handpieces offer a pleasing contrast of warmth and cool. Most patients find it deeply relaxing.

After treatment, skin appears clearer, more hydrated, and noticeably more luminous — immediately. There is no downtime, no redness, and no reason you can’t return to your normal activities straight away.
